H.L. Although definitely rooted in the 90s, take Dissection or early Night in Gales as reference, "Hail the Abyss" became another fresh, passionate and melodic black/ death metal album. THULCANDRA developed their timeless style to perfection and present several lively hits, check for example "Hail the Abyss", "On the Wings of Cosmic Fire" or the mighty "The Final Closure". Some songs need one or the other repeat but at the end that only contributes to the long-term value of this masterpiece. Favorite track: On The Wings Of Cosmic Fire.

Abyssius Murkraken I've been a fan of Thulcandra since the early days with "Fallen Angels Dominion". Was an impulse buy i did not regret. Created as a love letter for fans of Dissection, this blackened death metal band has perfected that sound, yet found it's own voice and stands out completely unique.
I cannot get enough of this bands sound and i can only hope for many more albums to come. (They also are great Live) Favorite track: Hail The Abyss.
